Police seek man who robbed HSBC Bank in Port Jefferson Station

Suffolk police are looking for a man who robbed a Port Jefferson Station bank on Friday afternoon.
Police said a man walked into the HSBC Bank branch at 574 Jefferson Shopping Plaza about 2:35 p.m., approached a teller and displayed a note demanding cash. The teller complied, and the robber fled on foot south on Route 112, police said.
He was described as having red hair and being 6 feet tall, about 30 years old, skinny and unshaven, police said. He was wearing a white T-shirt and a red baseball cap.
