A Brentwood man has been charged in the striking of a pedestrian in Bay Shore on Friday night and fleeing the scene, Suffolk police said.

Kendell McCone, 26, was driving a 2006 Dodge Charger at 11:41 p.m. when his vehicle struck a pedestrian at Brentwood Road and 19th Avenue, police said.

The pedestrian, a 37-year-old Brentwood man, was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

McCone was charged with leaving the scene of an accident with personal injury. He was scheduled to be arraigned Saturday at First District Court in Central Islip.
