The Kynytyx Family Gaming Center of Bellport announced it was closing effective immediately on Sunday.
"It is with great pleasure and pride that we have celebrated milestone events with so many of you," the announcement on its website said. "So it is with deep sadness and great regret that we bid farewell to the best community around."
The website offered no further reason for the closing. Phone calls to the owners seeking comment were not immediately returned.
The center, at 990A Station Rd., was known for its laser tag arena and game modes and virtual reality including "Color Conquest," soccer-like "Laser Ball" and zombie attack "Infected."
The Station Road site offered more than a dozen arcade games, such as ice hockey, basketball, driving games and pinball machines.
The site was also a spot for birthday games and events.
"Although our doors will be closed we hope that the memories built here will last a lifetime," the announcement continued. "May those who come in the future serve and cherish this amazing community as much as we all have. We truly appreciate being able to share so many happy moments with you all."
