A routine traffic stop Thursday led to the arrest of a Brentwood man for allegedly driving with forged registration and state inspection stickers, State Police said.

Nelson I. Morales-Guerra, 23, was driving on G Road in Brentwood at about 6 p.m. when troopers stopped him near Crooked Hill Road.

An investigation revealed that both stickers on his 1991 Acura were forgeries, police said.

Morales-Guerra is charged with two counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and other traffic violations.

He was scheduled to be arraigned Friday at First District Court in Central Islip.
