Police ID motorcyclist killed in crash Sunday

Police have identified a motorcyclist who was killed Sunday in a collision in Huntington as Matias Banegas, 23, of Swezey Street in Patchogue.
Banegas was riding a 2007 Kawasaki motorcycle northbound on Park Avenue when it collided at the intersection of Jericho Turnpike at about 6 p.m. with a southbound 2011 Toyota Camry, Suffolk County police said. Police could not immediately provide additional details of the crash Tuesday.
But police said the driver of the Camry was not charged. Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks.
