Suffolk County police on Nov. 21 released surveillance photographs of a suspect in a stabbing last month at Plaza La Familia in Patchogue. Suffolk County police on Thursday released surveillance photographs of a suspect in a stabbing last month at Plaza La Familia in Patchogue.

The suspect, captured in footage from the store on East Main Street, is said to be responsible for the attack, which occurred at 9 p.m. Oct. 23.

Police said the man first assaulted the victim with "his hands and feet" and then stabbed the victim with "an unknown object." Police did not describe or characterize the extent of the injuries suffered.

Police said the suspect is "heavy set" with black hair, cut short on the sides, and has a barbed-wired tattoo on his right bicep. He wore a white T-shirt and white baseball cap, police said.

Police are asking anyone with information about the attack to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential and callers are eligible for a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.
