Police are searching for a gunman who fired three or four shots during a confrontation outside a credit union last month in Bay Shore.

No one was injured. But, Suffolk County police said, the incident followed an altercation outside the Teachers Federal Credit Union at 1360 South Service Rd. -- and one of two vehicles involved was caught on videotape surveillance.

The incident occurred on March 23, police said.

It was then, police said, that several suspects -- some in a white four-door sedan, possibly a 1990s Mercury Grand Marquis; others in a green minivan, possibly a Ford Windstar -- were involved in a confrontation with another man at the drive-through of the credit union.

The victim was able to get back into his vehicle, police said, before three or four gunshots were fired by "someone in the group of assailants."

Surveillance footage shows the van with its side doors open.

Police ask anyone with information about the incident to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential and callers are eligible for a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.
