The Ronkonkoma Fire Department is staging a blood drive on Jan. 13 for injured FDNY firefighter Robert Wiedmann.

Wiedmann, 38, of Islip Terrace, was severely burned over half his body as he battled a Brooklyn blaze on Dec. 19.

He is expected to have several surgeries during his recovery, his doctors at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/ Weill Cornell Medical Center in Manhattan said.

Wiedmann needs rare Type O negative blood, a FDNY spokesman said last week.

In addition to giving at the Ronkonkoma fire house at 177 Portion Rd. on Friday, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., donations for Wiedmann can be made through the New York Blood Center at 800-439-6876. Wiedmann's patient number is 203859 and his file number is 71614.
