Suffolk cops revive woman with defibrillator in Farmingville
Two Suffolk County police officers used a defibrillator to revive a woman who had collapsed Thursday night playing bingo in Farmingville, police said.
Sixth Precinct Officers Kelly Monfiletto and Edwin Hugh responded to an emergency call from Island Bingo at 1055 Portion Rd. at about 8:15 p.m., according to a news release.
Police said the woman, 51, of Selden, was unconscious and not breathing when the two officers arrived but the cardiopulmonary resuscitation was in progress. The officers used an automated external defibrillator and the woman's pulse was revived, the release said.
The woman was taken by Farmingville ambulance to Stony Brook University Medical Center where she is listed in critical condition, police said.
