Suffolk County police are searching for suspects in a drive-by shooting that injured a woman sleeping inside a Wyandanch home Saturday night.

Police said a gunman pulled up in front of a home at 20 Henry St. in Wyandanch and fired 10 bullets at the house.

A 26-year-old woman sleeping inside was shot in the knee. She was taken by ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, where she was treated for the gunshot wound and released, police said.

Detectives said the woman was not targeted in the shooting and police don't know what prompted the drive-by attack. No suspects have been identified.

Authorities are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS.
