Two Suffolk men killed when car hits tree

Two men were killed in Centereach Saturday night when their car crashed into a tree, Suffolk County police said.
Police said the driver, Angelo Grimaldi, 43, of Selden, and his passenger, Kevin Demaille, 45, of Centerreach, were killed in a 1970 Chevrolet.
The pair died at Stony Brook University Medical Center. Police did not immediately release any other details about the accident.
The collision happened at about 7:55 p.m. on Bowdoin Road, just south of Nicolls Road/County Road 97. The vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
