Woman stuck in house still in hospital

A North Amityville woman who was removed from her home Thursday night after rescuers cut through a wall remained hospitalized Friday, her mother said.
The woman, 35, had called 911 from her home on Rosewood Avenue, complaining of chest pains, but was unable to leave because of her weight, Suffolk County police said.
The woman lives in the basement, and emergency medical technicians who responded could not get her out, police said.
The woman's chest pains were not life-threatening, police said Thursday night after she was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip.
The woman remained hospitalized Friday, said a woman who answered the phone at the house. She said she was the woman's mother, but would not give her name.
At least five rescue agencies were involved in the operation, which entailed cutting out a wall of the home.
