Long Island’s own Mick Foley endured years of futility on pro wrestling’s biggest stage before finally having his “WrestleMania Moment” in a memorable brawl against Edge at WrestleMania 22 in Chicago.

At WrestleMania 32, Foley got the icing on the cake.

In a moment that stunned the crowd at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, Foley teamed up with fellow retired grapplers Shawn Michaels and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin to deliver a beating to the League of Nations Sunday night.

It wasn’t an official match, as the trio came to the ring following the match between The New Day and The League of Nations. Nevertheless, 1983 Ward Melville High School graduate Foley put on a surprisingly impressive performance after retiring with a litany of injuries.

He proclaimed that the door was closed on an in-ring return in his 2013 DVD retrospective “For All Mankind.”

Mankind and Dude Love comprised two of the three “Faces of Foley” incarnations that the 50-year-old used to achieve WWE fame.

But Sunday night Foley came to the ring in his maniacal Cactus Jack persona and delivered a flurry of forearms and a running knee to League of Nations member Sheamus in the turnbuckle.

He then pulled his trademark “Mr. Socko” sock puppet out of his sweatpants and delivered his signature mandible claw to Sheamus.

Thursday night, Foley appeared on Austin’s “Stone Cold Podcast” on WWE Network from Dallas and announced he had lost 50 pounds in recent months thanks to a regimen of swimming combined with former wrestler Diamond Dallas Page’s DDP Yoga exercise system.

Foley will star with daughter Noelle in the WWE Network series “Holy Foley.” In the 12-episode series, Noelle will take her first steps toward becoming a WWE Superstar under her dad’s tutelage.
