The court-appointed receiver of Lewis’ Dry Cleaners in Westbury announced Wednesday that the business will reopen Friday between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. so that customers can pick up their clothes.
The cleaners, at 836 Carman Ave., was recently shut down after the landlord evicted the shop’s owner for nonpayment of his rent.
Receiver Chris J. Coschignano, of Uniondale, said several hundred customers picked up their cleaning items Saturday, but hundreds more items are still awaiting pickup.
“I encourage those who have not yet received their clothing to do so this Friday,” he said.
