The two best teams in Suffolk will meet in the Championship Series after Connetquot-Sayville and Smithtown both advanced through the semifinals yesterday.

Both teams had identical near perfect records in the regular season (19-1), suffering their only losses against each other. Smithtown won the first meeting between these two teams on Oct. 19, 3-1, and Connetqout-Sayville took the second meeting on Jan. 9, 5-3.

The Suffolk champion will be decided by the winner of a best of three series starting Monday Feb. 13. Game two will be Wed. Feb. 15 and if necessary, game three will be the next night on Thursday Feb. 16.

In the semis, (1) Connetquot-Sayville beat (4) Half Hollow Hills 4-1, and (2) Smithtown shutout (3) Kings Park-Commack 4-0.
