First base: Joey Votto (Reds). On this All-Star team, Votto gets a slight nod over Albert Pujols. Votto is hitting .314 with 58 runs, 22 home runs and 60 RBIs. Value: Troy Glaus (Braves).

Second base: Martin Prado (Braves). Hitting .336 with 61 runs, 25 doubles, 10 home runs and 39 RBIs. Value: Kelly Johnson (Diamondbacks).

Shortstop: Hanley Ramirez (Marlins). Has a .292 average, 48 runs, 13 home runs, 53 RBIs and 16 stolen bases. Value: Juan Uribe (Giants).

Third base: David Wright (Mets). The power has returned with 14 home runs and 64 RBIs to go with a .316 average, 52 runs and 15 stolen bases. Value: Scott Rolen (Reds).

Outfield: Carlos Gonzalez (Rockies). Top emerging young player, Gonzalez is batting .307 with 52 runs, 15 home runs, 55 RBIs and 12 stolen bases.

Outfield: Ryan Braun (Brewers). Has a .288 average with 50 runs, 23 doubles, 11 home runs, 51 RBIs and 11 stolen bases.

Outfield: Corey Hart (Brewers). A bounce-back season with a .288 average, 42 runs, 19 HRs and 61 RBIs. Values: Chris Young (Diamondbacks), Colby Rasmus (Cardinals), Marlon Byrd (Cubs), Angel Pagan (Mets), Jonny Gomes (Reds).

Starting pitcher: Josh Johnson (Marlins). Johnson is 9-3 with a 1.70 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and a 123/28 K/BB ratio in 122 innings.

SP: Ubaldo Jimenez (Rockies). Record of 15-1 with a 2.20 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and a 113/46 K/BB ratio in 127 innings.

SP: Adam Wainwright (Cardinals). A 123/32 K/BB ratio in 1281/3 innings. He is 12-5 with a 2.24 ERA and 1.00 WHIP.

SP: Roy Halladay (Phillies). Has seven complete games, including three shutouts. Halladay is 10-7, has a 2.33 ERA and 1.08 WHIP with a 119/18 K/BB ratio in 139 innings.

Values: Mat Latos (Padres), Jaime Garcia (Cardinals), Carlos Silva (Cubs), Tim Hudson (Braves), Clayton Richard (Padres).

Relief pitcher: Billy Wagner (Braves). Wagner is 5-0 and has converted 19 of 22 saves with a 1.27 ERA and 0.91 WHIP.

RP: Heath Bell (Padres). Bell is 4-0 and has converted 23 of 26 saves with a 1.72 ERA and 1.34 WHIP.
