Newsday's new traffic meter will help commuters find the best route to work.

The fastest way to get from one point to another is to avoid bad traffic, which will prove much more difficult if the Long Island Rail Road unions decide to strike on Sunday.

Newsday's up-to-the-minute traffic meter will help you compare traffic on the LIE, Northern State and Southern State, with point-to-point driving times to help you plan your route.

The meter shows traffic conditions from one end of Long Island to the other, and all the way to end of the line at the entrance to the Queens Midtown Tunnel.
