If you’ve been outside today, you’ve probably either been blown down the street or have had to avoid a rolling garbage can.
On the water, waves are already crashing against the shore ahead of the impending nor’easter, which is expected to bring as much as a foot of snow to eastern Long Island.
From Shirley east to the South Fork, including Peconic and Gardiners bays, a coastal flood warning has been issued from 3 to 8 p.m.
The Forge River in Mastic is included in that zone.
Here’s a video posted to Facebook by the Tri-Hamlet News, an online news outlet covering the Mastics, Shirley and Moriches area, of conditions at the Forge River Marina at noon.
