HUNGRY GIRL 300 UNDER 300: 300 Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Dishes Under 300 Calories, by Lisa Lillien. St. Martin's Griffin, $22.99, 542 pp.

Woodmere native Lillien ("She's not a nutritionist, she's just hungry!"), who's published four bestselling cookbooks, sends out a million daily emails with diet tips and has her own weekly show on the Cooking Channel, debuts yet another cookbook.

Recipes work with the new Weight Watchers PointsPlus plan, and many are three-

ingredient "Trios" -- such as Yo! Chili Dog Wrap.

Why 300 calories? "Eating several small meals and snacks throughout the day is great because it keeps you feeling satisfied, gets your metabolism going, and prevents you from ever becoming SUPER-HUNGRY," the uppercase- and exclamation-point-loving Lillien writes. She's not suggesting you keep your meals under 300 calories -- pair 'em up, she says.

THE SCOOPFrom Egg Mug microwave recipes to foil packs for the oven, these meals favor the quick and convenient.

THE BOTTOM LINERecipes, many featuring nonfat, sugar-free ingredients, have prep and cook times listed, as well as nutritional information.
