Marital harmony may be in short supply in households where one partner is immersed in online games such as World of Warcraft, Lord of the Rings and Guild Wars, new research suggests. When one spouse spends time in this online fantasyland, it can threaten marital satisfaction, said researchers at Brigham Young University. However, there was a surprise finding: Those who played together generally liked it, with 76 percent saying it had a positive effect on their marriage.

Organic brown rice syrup warning

A sweetener used in many organic foods may be a hidden source of arsenic, according to new research from Dartmouth College. The information also notes that the sweetener, organic brown rice syrup, is found in some infant formulas. The report appears in the Feb. 16 issue of Environmental Health Perspectives.
