Health Tip: Help Keep Teen Drivers Safe
Inexperienced teen drivers, facing a host of potential distractions, are more likely than older people to be involved in an accident.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention offers these suggestions to help keep your teen safer:
- Talk to him or her regularly about safe driving.
- Supervise your teen's driving for longer than the law requires.
- Establish clear rules of the road.
- Create a written agreement between you and your teen to follow these rules.
