LI baby diagnosed with measles
Health officials in Nassau say a 12-month-old baby has a confirmed case of the measles.
The Nassau County Health Department said Wednesday it has notified all emergency rooms, the county’s Medical Society and Pediatric Society.
Health officials say the child may have exposed others to the disease during visits to locations in West Hempstead and Garden City last week.
The child, who was not identified, recently traveled internationally.
Anyone who feels they have symptoms or may have been exposed are being asked to call health care providers or emergency rooms before going for care so that others are not exposed to the illness.
