A Brooklyn federal judge ordered the Food and Drug Administration to make the morning-after emergency contraception pill available to girls of all ages on Friday, according to The New York Times and Reuters.

The decision would make the most common morning-after emergency contraception pill available to girls 16 and under without requiring a prescription from their physician.

The ruling by U.S. District Judge Edward Korman comes in a lawsuit brought by reproductive-rights groups, which had sought to remove age and other restrictions on emergency contraception.

Do you think there should be age restrictions on emergency contraception like the morning-after pill? Let us know in the comments below.
