His team on severely thin ice, Nick Randazzo delivered.

Randazzo scored with 3:30 remaining to edge St. Anthony's ice hockey over Fordham Prep, 5-4, Saturday at Nassau Coliseum. The event was generated by the Islanders to promote hockey on the Island. The Friars (8-1) are now back-to-back winners at the event after beating Chaminade last year.

Part of the regular CHSHL schedule, neither team led by more than a goal. St. Anthony's took a 4-3 lead on Chris Wallace's goal with 12:52 left in the third period, but Joe Regan tied the score on a shorthander with 9:23 to go for Fordham Prep (4-6-1).

Evan Katz had one goal and an assist for St. Anthony's. Top keeper Sean Keating, who entered midway through the second period, allowed just one goal and continued his unbeaten streak in league matches the last two seasons.

"The kids had some butterflies and it took them a couple of minutes to settle in," coach Jeff Stelmok said. "We had a bit of a slow start, but we outlasted them. Luckily, this is an experience we've had before. This is a regular league game, just the environment is different. Once the puck dropped, they were on the clock."
