Huntington lifts snow emergency
Huntington Town Supervisor Frank P. Petrone announced that lifted a snow emergency at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
“I have toured the Town and found that for the most part, the cleanup is progressing. While we ask motorists to continue to use caution, the restrictions imposed by a state of emergency are no longer necessary,” Petrone said in a news release.
The snow emergency declaration, effective as of 11 p.m. Tuesday, gave Petrone the authority to pool necessary town resources to address snowstorm issues without following usual procedures.
