Final score: Lutheran 59, Irvington 57.

Lutheran made a truly incredible comeback in the fourth quarter to win the Class B championship. They scored 15 straight points to erase a 49-34 deficit.

Paige Kriftcher scored seven straight points in one stretch, including a three-point play on a putback and foul to put the Crusaders ahead, 56-55 with 1:44 left.

Kriftcher also spun to the lane for a bucket and a 58-55 lead with 55 seconds left.

Kelly O'Donnell sank two free throws with 36 seconds left to make it a one-point game.

LuHi's Samanthan Milhaven made one of free throws for a 59-57 lead and Lutheran called timeout with 20 seconds left.

Irvington missed three close-in shots and LuHi grabbed the defensive rebound with 0.1 second left. Irvington called timeout to set up a tip-in play from in front of its own bench.

Third quarter score: Irvington , 48, Lutheran 34

The Crusaders were hot to start the second half, scoring the first five points and cutting their deficit to 32-26. Then came a crushing turn of events. First, Kelly O'Donnell, under defensive duress, forced up a prayer at the shot-clock buzzer from three-point range that went in.

Seconds later, LuHi's outstanding eighth-grade point guard Boogie Brozoski went down in a heap, screaming in pain with what looked like a hip injury. She was helped off the court and had ice applied to her hip while sitting on the bench. But after a few moments, she was taken into the locker room.

The Bulldogs took advantage, pressuring LuHi into several turnovers and drawing fouls on drives to the basket. The converted 6 of 7 from the foul line late in the period as they expanded their lead to a game-high 13 points.

Second quarter score: Irvington 32, Lutheran 21

A scoring drought of 5:40 put the Crusaders in a big hole, as Irvington went on a 16-0 tear to grab a 30-14 lead.

Lutheran rallied briefly, scoring seven straight points but still had a double-digit deficit at halftime.

Brittni Lai had the hot hand for the Bulldogs, with 10 second-quarter points and 11 in all.

Boogie Brozoski had six points and Samantha Milhaven five for the Crusaders, who did not make a single three-pointer in the first half, going 0-for-5. They were also outrebounded 21-12.

First quarter score: Irvington 16, Lutheran 12

After a hot-shooting game from beyond the arc in Friday's semifinal victory, the Crusaders started show, not making a trey in the opening quarter. They'll need to hit from outside because Irvington has a superior frontcourt.

The Bulldogs got eight points from forward Marley Giddins in the first quarter.

Point guard Boogie Brozoski had six points for the Crusaders.
