Locicero's OT goal gives Carey boys win

Mike Locicero scored off a pass from Jake Robison with 2:21 left in the first overtime to give Carey a 7-6 win over Bethpage Saturday in non-league boys lacrosse. Peter Nicholls scored four goals, including the tying goal on an assist by Locicero with 19 seconds left in regulation.

Bellmore JFK 11, Copiague 10: Will Diana picked up a ground ball off a Copiague turnover and scored from 8 yards with 1:37 remaining for Bellmore JFK, which trailed 7-4 at halftime. With 4:02 left in regulation, Christopher Racalbuto scored to give Bellmore the lead, but one minute later, Stephen White scored the tying goal for Copiague.

Manhasset 12, Cold Spring Harbor 11: Ryan Matthews scored three goals and Quinn Moroney had three goals and one assist to lead Manhasset.

Ward Melville 10, Garden City 7: John Edmonds had three goals and one assist for Ward Melville.

Bay Shore 13, Madison (N.J.) 9: Lucas Rock had five goals and an assist to lead Bay Shore. Kevin Cox and Brendan Gaine each had three goals and an assist, and Jon Flood made 13 saves.

Smithtown East 10, Miller Place 7: Brian Balkam made 16 saves and Garry Watson had three goals and an assist to lead Smithtown East.East Islip 15, Mahopac 6: Tyler Begley had four goals and two assists and Tom O'Neill four goals for East Islip at the Acompora Jamboree. Chris Guzzetta had 12 saves and Kevin Hutchinson had two goals and three assists.

Elmont 14, Uniondale 8: Ben Odugbesan (four goals and two assists) and Eustance Camal (three goals and three assists) sparked a six-goal comeback in the second quarter for Elmont.

St. Dominic 13, Xaverian 5: Sophomore Peter Izzo got his first career win and made 11 saves to lead St. Dominic in non-league. Ryan Perkins scored four goals.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Rocky Point 10, East Hampton 8: Jessica Hassett had three goals and two assists and Cindy Russell three goals and one assist to lead Rocky Point in Division II.

North Shore 16, St. John the Baptist 7: Amanda Johansen had four goals and two assists and Tess Korten three goals and one assist for North Shore in non-league.

Sacred Heart 11, South Side 7: Emily Salters made 11 saves and Nina Corcoran had two goals and one assist to lead Sacred Heart.

Bellmore JFK 11, Valley Stream District 9: Morgan Kitton had four goals and one assist and Samantha Rothery and Nicole Insardi each had two goals and one assist for Bellmore.

Long Beach 13, Deer Park 6: Emily McLoughlin had five goals and two assists to lead Long Beach.
