COPS: DUO STOLE ITEMS FROM GYM
Suffolk County police are looking for two unidentified men who allegedly stole valuables after breaking into a car parked at the Planet Fitness location on Ruland Road in Melville on July 3, 2014.
Items reported stolen include an Android Samsung phone, cash and a New Jersey driver's license.
Anyone with information can call Suffolk County Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS.
DRIVER HURT IN AMITYVILLE ACCIDENT
A driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries when the car she was driving flipped early Wednesday on Oak Street in Amityville, officials said.
Details of the 1:55 a.m. accident were still under investigation, police said. Police said there was no criminality in the accident.
The identity of the driver was not released.
Officials said she was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip. Her condition was not immediately known.
Amityville Fire Department volunteers and Amityville police responded to the scene and freed the woman from the overturned Nissan Altima. -- John Valenti

LIRR. The LIRR was operating on or close to schedule Wednesday afternoon, after switch trouble in Mineola resulted in up to 35 minute delays during the morning commute.
