HUNTINGTON: The zoning board will hear from a resident who wants to build an eight-classroom private nursery school on property on East Deer Park Road, which is now zoned residential. FLOOD FUNDS 

Area residents whose homes or businesses were inundated by Wednesday's historic rainfall lined up at Islip Town Hall West on Thursday morning, each getting their chance to speak with representatives from the state's Department of Financial Services, which deployed a Mobile Command Center in Islip hamlet.
