Robert S. Cohen of Lattingtown has been appointed to the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association's credit and collections management committee. He is a partner in the Garden City law firm of Moritt Hock Hamroff & Horowitz.

Rose Tummarello, president of the accounting firm Tummarello & Associates in Uniondale, has joined the council of overseers at the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts in Brookville. She lives in Malverne.

Dorothy Jacobs has been elected president of the board of directors of the Long Island Crisis Center, a nonprofit organization in Bellmore that provides confidential services to Long Islanders in crisis. The Island Park resident is a retired social worker.

Walter Priestley of Farmingdale has been named president of the Nassau district chapter of the New York State Chiropractic Association. He has his own chiropractic practice in Farmingdale.

The Bay Shore resident was business development manager at Gevity, a human resources outsourcing company in Manhattan that has since been acquired.

Andrew Wachtel of Seaford has joined East Northport Physical Therapy as assistant head athletic trainer. He was medical director and head athletic trainer for the Newark Bears baseball team.

Martha H. Pofit has joined Assisted Living at Home, a Hicksville home health care services company, as a partner. The Huntington resident was vice president for strategic planning at the Hospital Association of New York State.

Joseph S. Anile II has joined Harris Beach in Uniondale in an of counsel capacity. The Oyster Bay resident was a founding partner and chief executive at Anile & Associates in Manhattan.

Suzanne Idise has joined the Melville law firm of Harras Bloom & Archer as office administrator. The Huntington resident was director of human resources at the Washington law firm of Curtin Law Roberson Dunigan & Salans.
