Lubrano, Serrano lead perfect St. Dominic

Taylor Lubrano bowled a 156 in Game 2 of a 422 series and Alexa Serrano had a 390 series to lead St. Dominic to a 2-1 win over St. Mary's Wednesday in CHSAA girls bowling.

It was the third straight win for St. Dominic, which established its program shortly before this season began. "Our goal was to try to win one game and now we're 3-0," coach Mike Gordek said.

The Bayhawks prevailed over St. Mary's, 705-573, 746-758, 692-605.

Sewanhaka 3, Carle Place 0: Rebecca Gotterbarn bowled 258 in Game 1 of a 694 series and Kristina Genova shot 245 in Game 2 of a 578 series to lead Sewanhaka to a 725-549, 833-569, 715-589 win.

North Babylon 2, Sachem East 1: Megan Binder bowled 204 in Game 3 of a 554 series for North Babylon in a 776-726, 856-778, 778-845 win.

North Shore 3, Oyster Bay 0: Lexi Marshall rolled 203 in Game 1 of a 502 series to lead North Shore in a 608-396, 514-509, 484-463 win.

North Shore 3, Oyster Bay 0: Dan Syracuse bowled 278 in the first game of a 692 series for North Shore in a 703-671, 740-636, 729-629 victory.

Carle Place 2, Sewanhaka District 1: Sean Doherty rolled 221 in Game 1 of a 634 series to lead Carle Place in a 716-807, 763-671, 820-803 win. Conor Calio had 234 in Game 3 of a 600 series.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Valley Stream North 48, Sewanhaka 46: Anthony Martelli had 18 points and C.J. Byron had 11 points and 10 rebounds for Valley Stream North in the Herricks Tournament. Valley Stream North will face New Hyde Park in the championship game at 7 o'clock Thursday.

Floyd 69, Ross 42: Devin Burney had 21 points and five assists and LaShon Washington had 21 points to lead Floyd in the first round of the Colonial Tipoff Classic. Anthony White added 16 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists in the win.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Sayville 37, Comsewogue 34: Amy Dean had 11 points, including three free throws in the final minute for Sayville in non-league.

East Rockaway 33, East Islip 32: Gianna Cilluffo (12 points) hit two foul shots to give her team a 33-30 lead with 20 seconds left to lift East Rockaway in the Herricks Tournament. Shannon Pujol had 12 points in the win.

New Hyde Park 64, Valley Stream South 41: Senior Kristen Korzevinski recorded her first triple-double of the season with 28 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists to lead New Hyde Park in the consolation game of the South Side Tournament. Victoria Lofaro added 10 points.
