Brookhaven Supervisor Mark Lesko is scheduled to give the town’s annual State of the Town address on Thursday at 4 p.m. in the cafeteria on the second floor of Town Hall (1 Independence Hill, Farmingville).

Lesko has said that this year’s speech will focus on the town’s need to restructure government in the face of flagging revenues.

The speech precedes the regular town board meeting, which is scheduled to start at 5 p.m. The public is welcome but must RSVP first at brookhaven.org/brookhaven/rsvp.aspx.

Here is a roundup of plans for such speeches at Long Island’s other towns and cities:

To register in advance for the luncheon, send a check payable to LWV Port Washington-Manhasset to Caisy Meyers, Deputy Chief of Staff, Town Hall, 220 Plandome Rd., Manhasset, NY 11030, by Jan. 19. Guests can also register at 11:45 a.m. the day of the program.

For more information, call 311 from within the town or 516-869-6311 from outside town boundaries.
