McDonald (27) leads Uniondale girls in OT

Junior guard Aliyah McDonald had a career-high 27 points, including a pair of free throws with 11 seconds left in regulation to force overtime for Uniondale in a 62-60 win over Calhoun Thursday in a non-league girls basketball game.

McDonald's free throws tied the score at 52. She had nine assists and six rebounds. Junior Yadelin Martinez added career highs in points (16) and (14) rebounds for the Knights.

Seaford 36, Division 32: Jessica Rini (11 points) hit a field goal with 21 seconds left to provide the final margin non-league.

MacArthur 35, Freeport 33: Courtney Noakes (six points) hit a 10-footer with five seconds left to win it for MacArthur in non-league. Stephanie Volpe hit two free throws with 55 seconds left to tie the score at 33.

Harborfields 51, Ward Melville 48: Lexi O'Connor had 15 points, including a three with 1:30 left to give Harborfields a 49-48 lead in non-league. Bridgit Ryan (15 points) added two free throws with 48 seconds to go for the final margin.

Our Lady of Mercy 44, West Babylon 39: Katie Wildes had 14 of her 18 points during a 31-23 second half for Our Lady of Mercy in the Lindenhurst Tournament consolation. Marilyn Lehmuller had 11 points.

Lawrence Woodmere Academy 73, Bay Ridge 72: Trent Parish had 14 points, including a driving layup with eight seconds left to win it for Lawrence Woodmere in PSAA. Jake Lundenberg (16 points, eight assists) stole a pass on Bay Ridge's previous possession with 15 seconds left to set up the final play. Rokas Lapsys led LWA with 34 points and 12 rebounds.

Roslyn 75, Roosevelt 41: Terrance Pierce had 17 points, Mark Gjonlekaj added 13 points and 12 rebounds and Andrew Slutsky chipped in six points and six assists for Roslyn in non-league.

BOYS BOWLING

Central Islip 3, Sayville 0: Matt DiCiantomasso bowled 279 in Game 3 of a 768 series to lead Central Islip in a 997-938, 979-900, 1,076-991 win.

GIRLS BOWLING

Middle Country 3, Longwood 0: Kelly Skalacki bowled a 245 in Game 3 of a 677 series to lead Middle Country in a 919-804, 956-844, 1,008-896 win.
