Nassau seniors can get free ID cards in Farmingdale
Senior citizens at an event Thursday in Farmingdale can receive free wallet-sized identification cards intended to help first responders in emergency situations, providing vital information such as emergency contacts.
The ID includes the senior’s photo, name, date of birth, address and phone number, as well as the name and phone number of a loved one or other emergency contact. The card can be carried in the senior’s wallet in case of emergency.
Cards will be issued free of charge to Nassau County residents ages 65 and older at Farmingdale Public Library, 116 Merritts Rd., Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m., as part of a program sponsored by the offices of County Executive Edward Mangano, state Sen. Kemp Hannon (R-Garden City) and state Sen. Charles Fuschillo Jr. (R-Merrick).
No appointments are necessary.
