A central Pennsylvania man has been charged with killing his wife with a knife and an axe on Christmas Eve.

Thirty-six-year-old Dustin Lee Klopp is charged in Lancaster County with criminal homicide, abuse of a corpse and evidence-tampering in the death of 34-year-old Stephanie Kilhefner.

State police allege that he punched her, cut her throat with a knife and then struck her head with an axe multiple times Wednesday evening, then moved her body to a shed on their Paradise Township property. Police said he called Thursday evening to turn himself in.

LNP reported that Klopp took their two children to his parents' home to celebrate Christmas before calling police.

Court documents don't list an attorney for him and a listed phone number for him couldn't be found Friday.
