National Coalition of 100 Black Women forum to focus on economy

The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Long Island and Manhattan chapters, are hosting a free economic empowerment forum Saturday.
The one-day conference, “My Sister’s Keeper,” will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Hays Theatre at Molloy College, 1000 Hempstead Ave. in Rockville Centre.
Attendees will have an opportunity to hear about resources and skills to survive and thrive in today’s economy, from finding a new job to starting a business to managing finances.
Panelists include Lisa Bing, president of Bing Consulting Group Inc.; Lillian Dent, owner of LL Dent Restaurant; Tricia Messeroux, photographer and producer of Big Eye Photography, Toddlewood & Tricia TV; Vera Moore, president and chief executive of Vera Moore Cosmetics; and H. Scottie Coads, civic engagement/political action chairwoman of the state NAACP.
