Essie Bridal Collection Nail Lacquers, $8 each, at salons
In honor of wedding season, Essie has debuted a collection of demure yet dramatic shades inspired by The Big Day. "Borrowed and Blue," is an unconventional robin’s-egg pastel, "First Dance" is a brilliant scarlet, and two great pink-hued nudes – "Better Together" and "Made to Honor" are classically coy. The best part? You need not be married – or even engaged – to wear them. (Sheila Anne Feeney)
24/7 Brow Express by Mally Beauty, $25, QVC.com
To me, a strong pair of brows can be a girl’s chicest accessory and this new double-ended tool makes achieving them fantastically bulletproof. One side's a colored pencil to define the arch and the other is a spongy shadow dispenser to boost color. Available in three shades: taupe, medium brown and sable. (Perrie Samotin)
Pacifica Body Wash in Malibu Lemon Blossom, $10, Sephora
Lemon-scented beauty products usually err little too much on the Pledge side for my taste. But this body wash has just a hint of citrus. The rich, creamy formula also leaves dried-out skin feeling hydrated and calm, courtesy of aloe, chamomile and cucumber. (Julie Gordon)
MAC Cosmetics Quite Cute lipstick in Candy Yum Yum, $14.50, MAC counters (April 7)
MAC’s new Quite Cute collection is chock full of candy-colored confections ideal for spring use. While I adore the soft girlishness of mint green polish, lavender shadow and baby-pink blush, it’s this neon matte pink lipstick that sold me. It’s bright enough to stop traffic and since it’s super-pigmented, running out isn't a concern. (PS)
Jo Malone Limited-Edition Cologne in Earl Grey & Cucumber, $55; at Jo Malone, 946 Madison Ave., 212-472-0074
I love drinking a hot mug of tea, but do I want to smell like one? Surprisingly yes, when I’m wearing one of Jo Malone’s limited-edition tea-scented colognes. I’m partial to Earl Grey & Cucumber, inspired by the tea-and-cuke sandwiches served during traditional high tea. Upon first spray, the cologne has a distinct Earl Grey scent, but soon combines with cucumber, beeswax, vanilla and musk for a rich effect. (JG)
Bliss Fabulous Everyday Eye Cream, $28; at bliss spas (blissworld.com for NYC locations)
Fans of Bliss’ heavy-duty “Youth As We Know It” collection will love the “Fabulous” collection for days that necessitate something more lightweight. The day/night eye cream is especially noteworthy, and doesn’t leave a greasy residue behind — annoying if you’re trying to put on makeup immediately after eye cream application. (JG)
