Father of slain baby wanted for robbery
Anthony Hennis, whose 16-month-old son Antiq was killed by gunfire last month in Brownsville, is a suspect in an Oct. 3 subway robbery.
The NYPD yesterday said Hennis, 22, and his 20-year-old brother Ammany are suspected of mugging a 19-year-old man on a southbound No. 3 train as it pulled into the Saratoga Avenue station in Brownsville around 1:30 p.m.
The brothers threatened the teen, who gave up his watch and was punched in the face, according to the police.
The robbery occurred more than a month after the Sept. 1 shooting of Hennis' infant son during a walk on Livonia Avenue.
Police said Hennis was the intended target, but the gunman fatally shot Antiq, 1, in the head.
The alleged shooter, 23-year-old Daquan Breland, pleaded not guilty at an Oct. 3 arraignment on charges of second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon, according to the Brooklyn district attorney's office.
His alleged accomplice, Daquan Wright, 19, pleaded not guilty to criminal possession of a weapon.
A spokesman for the district attorney did not have lawyer information for Breland and Wright immediately available.
