FDNY ambulance hits pedestrian in East Village, NYPD says
A pedestrian was struck by an FDNY ambulance in Manhattan Monday afternoon, police said.
According to the NYPD, an 81-year-old man was struck by the ambulance at the corner of Second Avenue and East 14th Street in the East Village. The crash happened around 2:20 p.m., police said.
The man was taken to Bellevue Hospital Center in critical condition, according to police.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
