Former Met Lenny Dykstra sentenced to 3 years in California prison

Former Met Lenny Dykstra on Monday was sentenced to three years in a California state prison after pleading no contest in a grand theft auto case.
The 49-year-old Dykstra was accused of forging business information in order to get credit to lease high-end automobiles. He initially pleaded no contest in October and had an attempt to withdraw his plea denied on Monday in Los Angeles.
"Did I do something I'm not proud of? Yes," said Dykstra, who has already earned credit for one year of time served. "Am I a criminal? No."
But Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Cynthia Ulfig thought differently.
"He obviously didn't have the money to get the vehicles," she said. "His conduct was indeed criminal."
