Not only are hipsters superior in hunting for love on the subways, they are better at broadcasting it.

The L train was recently designated the “Most Romantic Subway Line” in a month-long survey of Missed Connection ads by Craigslist staff. The Morgan Avenue station had the most posts per passenger, while Union Square had the top volume overall. Other hipster havens on the L—Bedford Avenue, Graham Avenue, Jefferson Street and Lorimer Street—were also in the top ten.

The Lexington Avenue/59th Street station was found to be a romance killer, with no postings despite its rank as the eighth busiest stop in the system.

In Missed Connections, unrequited lovers post on-line notices to those they spotted in passing.
“You walked up the escalator! You are super hot!” wrote one No. 7 train rider to a “Beautiful Latina.”
