Man fatally shot at Brooklyn public housing complex, police say

Police say a 21-year-old man has been fatally shot outside his building in a Brooklyn public housing complex.

The shooting happened just after 3 p.m. Saturday outside a building on Baltic Street in the Gowanus Houses.

Police say Leroy Olmstead was shot in the torso. He was taken to Lutheran Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Police have made no arrests.
