Man fatally shot near Bryant Park in midtown; no arrests made, NYPD says

A 27-year-old man was shot and killed near Bryant Park early Saturday morning, the NYPD said.

Cops responded to the corner of West 40th Street and Sixth Avenue in midtown just before 2:30 a.m., where they found an unresponsive man who had been shot in the torso.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency personnel, police said.

There have been no arrests in the shooting, according to the NYPD.
