ABC News defended the objectivity of journalist Martha Raddatz Wednesday after a story on The Daily Caller reported President Barack Obama attended Raddatz's 1991 wedding.
Raddatz will moderate Thursday night's vice presidential debate, and ABC said in a statement sent to Politico that it is "absurd" to think she won't be fair with Vice President Joe Biden and Rep. Paul Ryan.
Peter Eyre, an adviser to the nonpartisan Commission on President Debates, told USA Today the organization isn't worried that about the Obama-Raddatz link.
