A ticked-off Mayor Michael Bloomberg on Thursday denied making "cheeky" remarks about a random woman at a Christmas party.

Reporter Jonathan Van Meter wrote in New York magazine that Bloomberg "gestured toward a woman in a very tight floor-length gown" and said, "Look at the ass on her."

When a reporter asked about the incident during a news conference Thursday, the mayor snapped back.

"I never said it and I don't know where it came from, next question," the mayor said.

Bloomberg also refused to answer another reporter who questioned him about an anecdote that City Council Speaker Christine Quinn told Van Meter. Quinn said the mayor didn't like it when she wore flats and poked fun at her hair when her roots showed.

"OK, you can write anything you want," he responded when another reporter asked if his remarks were sexist.
