World Bank President Robert Zoellick announced that he's stepping down Wednesday - and despite a history of interest, our own Mayor Michael Bloomberg doesn't want the job.

The mayor wrote in his 2001 book that the World Bank presidency is a job he'd be interested in, but after Zoellick's announcement, Bloomberg's spokesman said the mayor won't replace him.

"He's not interested in the job and he already has a better one," spokesman Stu Loeser said.
