NYPD: 3 found dead in BMW near Columbia University

Police are investigating the fatal shootings of three men whose bodies were found in a car near the Columbia University campus in upper Manhattan.
The victims were discovered at about 6:30 p.m. Thursday inside a legally parked BMW near West 122nd Street and Claremont Avenue.
Police say a passer-by noticed the slumped bodies — two in the front seat and one in the back — and flagged down a passing patrol car. It was not clear when they had been shot and police say there were no 911 calls made of gunfire in the area.
Police say the victims appeared to be in their 20s and 30s are not believed to be connected to the school.
Their names have not yet been released.
