Occupy Wall Street aiming for major march on two-month anniversary

Still wounded from the raid on Zuccotti Park, Occupy Wall Street is trying to come back today and stage its biggest protest yet, marching on Wall Street, the subways, Foley Square and the Brooklyn Bridge.

Starting with an attempt to shut down Wall Street at 7 a.m., the actions will be staggered throughout the day, and will end up with a march across the bridge in the evening.

City officials said Wednesday they're expecting "tens of thousands" of protesters and are bulking up the NYPD's presence in those areas accordingly. They said the occupation is costing the NYPD an estimated $3 million per month.

"Because of Tuesday, the movement is stronger than it's ever been," said Sonya Zink, 40, who was arrested during Tuesday's morning raid and has camped at Zuccotti Park since the beginning, Sept. 17. "We were treated extremely punitively ... and we're done with big bullies."
