Poll of New Yorkers: Bloomberg city's best mayor
A new poll that asked New Yorkers about the city's best mayor in three decades finds that Mayor Michael Bloomberg ranks highest.
The billionaire mayor is serving his third term. The survey of registered voters found that 38 percent said he has been the best mayor, while 31 percent said Rudy Giuliani was the best.
Fifteen percent chose Ed Koch, and 9 percent picked David Dinkins. Seven percent were unsure.
The poll by Marist College found that Bloomberg's approval rating is consistent at 56 percent.
But most voters - 65 percent - believe his third term will be about the same as his first two and don't expect him to break much new ground.
The survey questioned 602 voters and was conducted April 7 and 8.
It had a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.
