Source: Bloomberg to back Cuomo in guv race

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg plans to endorse the Democratic candidate for governor, Andrew Cuomo.
A person familiar with the announcement tells The Associated Press Bloomberg will join Cuomo on Wednesday and announce his support.
The person insisted on anonymity because the announcement had not been made.
The endorsement from the popular billionaire mayor is a bit of good news for Cuomo. A poll finds his long-shot Republican opponent is gaining ground.
The Quinnipiac University poll showed Cuomo with a 49 percent to 43 percent lead over Carl Paladino among likely New York voters.
Seven percent were undecided.
Bloomberg is a Democrat-turned-Republican-turned independent.
